Global leading intelligent robot unicorn enterprise Agile Robots announced the completion of its acquisition of robot company Franka Emika.
Franka Emika was founded in 2016 and is a company based in Munich that focuses on cutting-edge robotics technology research and development. It was one of the 50 innovative projects featured on the cover of the German magazine Time and won the German Future Award and Innovation Award.
Previously, the Munich District Court ordered preliminary bankruptcy management of Franka Emika on August 25, 2023. At present, the acquisition of Franka Emika by Siling Robotics has been approved by Franka Emika's creditor committee, and both parties to the transaction have stated that they will keep specific terms confidential. After this acquisition, Siling Robotics will provide continuous support for Franka Emika's team of over a hundred people in terms of business expansion, product development, and research and development projects.
